Village Virtual Mentorship Calling all Villagers!
The way the Village Virtual Mentorship program is set up, we need volunteer mentors! The VVM program is ready to kickstart 2024 embracing our at-risk youth, specifically in the George Floyd Square neighborhood, with meaningful attention and experiences that will catapult them to the next level of self-actualization! Our mission is to encourage taking agency in self and building community.
LLCOOLJ strives to develop programs in the categories of Mentorship, Economic Equity, and Environmental Justice for our members and VVM is one such program. When you volunteer with an LLCOOLJ program, you're signing on to do more than give back to the betterment of your community, you're joining a family of mission-shared social-entrepreneurs, artists, and changemakers. As a family, we strongly rely on our creative ingenuity to solve problems in a way that is mutually beneficial and as we strive toward equity by simplifying bureaucracy for all.
The Village Virtual Mentorship asks for up to 2 hours weekly spent (virtually or in-person) with a youth (age 16-21) in Minneapolis (Robbinsdale, Brooklyn Park, and/or South Minneapolis). The minimum time spent with your youth could be up to one hour. We are seeking applicants age 34 or older. If you are younger and would like to participate, please scan the QR code, complete the application, and email [email protected] explaining why you feel you should be considered despite your age. Applicants under the age of 25 will not be considered.
The Village Virtual Mentorship program runs from December 2023 through December 2024 and is open to applicants ages 16-21. Click the link to apply for mentorship . Scan the QR code in the flyer to apply to be a mentor. Time to do more in 2024!
